Jr. Waterman Adventure

Enjoy the splendors of Turtle Bay Resort’s Kawela Bay, guided by a true local. Our Jr. Waterman Adventure is perfect for anyone aged 7-17 looking to connect with nature - land and sea, and starts with an authentic introduction to Hawaiian culture, followed by an “island-style off-road” excursion to the uniquely protected and sheltered bay. Upon arrival at Kawela Bay, we explore the famed Banyan Tree, a single tree with an amazing expanse of multiple trunks and vines, making it the perfect backdrop for scenes from many well-known TV shows and films. Then, at the beach, our Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe known as Ulu Nene awaits to take us on a green sea turtle tour, where guests have the option to jump in the water for a quick swim. After swimming with these majestic sea animals, we take you on a tandem surf session with one of our experienced instructors to ensure maximum safety and unparalleled fun. To round out our water activities for this adventure, each guest is taught the basics of SUP (stand up paddle) and will be guided through a solo paddle in the very safe and scenic waters of the bay. At 11:30 a.m., the group will begin heading back to the main hotel on an “island-style trail ride”, with a stop by The Stables at Turtle Bay Resort to feed the property’s horses. We will arrive back in the lobby promptly at 12:00 p.m.

Our Jr. Waterman Adventure is best suited for guests ages 7 - 17; parents are welcome to drop participants off with us or to tag along in their own vehicle to witness the fun! This adventure is offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (8:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.). Advanced registration is required.
